Master data management for customer / multi-domain

Business challenge

Belastingdienst, the Dutch Tax Office, wants to become a full digital hub for government services, offering online tax and benefits services for citizens and companies. In order to enable this, it wanted to put in place an information hub in order to collect, govern and distribute all data and to provide one central view of the customer. However, it faced the challenge that most of its data is dispersed across wide range of internal and external systems and partners.

Our solution

VIQTOR DAVIS worked with the Dutch Tax Office to define the vision, strategy, roadmap and software selection for the Information Hub. The implementation was performed by IBM, supported by VIQTOR DAVIS for the specific MDM skills, expertise and architecture. This included MDM for customer and multi-domain as well as all the data governance aspects, from organisation, processes, tooling and resources. Currently, the information hub is extended to include smart analytics for fraud analysis and detection.

Business impact

Using the information hub, the Dutch Tax Office is moving away from the traditional paper-based processes to improved services, improved fraud analysis and detection and better customer experience.
