Blokker Holding wanted to increase its e-commerce activities, combining multiple brands (Intertoys, BartSmit, Xenos, Cook&Co, Leen Bakker and Blokker) into one MDM and e-commerce platform centralising online activities and competing more effectively with online retailers such Bol.com and CoolBlue.
VIQTOR DAVIS developed and executed a MDM roadmap for Blokker Holding, integrating and migrating the brands into one platform, centralising the master data / content enrichment activities, combining the assortments into one master catalogue for all, whilst keeping the strategic/commercial differentiators for each category (household, toys, gaming, living, etc). The solution is fully integrated into the Blokker system landscape and with external parties, such as Mirakl, Relay, BazaarVoice, etc.
Using the centralised MDM solution, together with the integration of external partners, Blokker was able to increase the overall revenue and gross profit of the online activities. External sellers can now also sell through the Blokker website via the Mirakl marketplace, providing Blokker with an additional steady revenue stream.
